The Naugatuck Historical Society is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to serve as Docents and Greeters during our museum hours on Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Docent and Greeter, you will play a vital role in welcoming visitors to the museum and enhancing their experience by:
Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and providing information about exhibits and current events.
Guiding visitors through the museum, sharing knowledge about our exhibits, the history of Naugatuck, and the significance of our collections.
Engaging with guests to create an inviting atmosphere and answer any questions they may have.
Commitment: Volunteers are required to commit to a minimum of two hours per month. This flexible schedule allows you to choose a time that fits your availability while ensuring we have adequate coverage during museum hours.

The Naugatuck Historical Society is seeking a Volunteer Sponsorship Coordinator to lead efforts in building and managing relationships with corporate partners. This role is essential to generating sustainable revenue and expanding the reach of the Naugatuck History Museum at the Tuttle House.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and engage potential corporate sponsors that align with the museum’s mission.
Develop customized sponsorship packages and proposals tailored to corporate goals and interests.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors through regular communication and engagement.
Collaborate with staff to ensure sponsors receive appropriate recognition and benefits.
Track and manage sponsorship agreements, including deliverables and deadlines.
Assist with sponsorship event planning and opportunities for visibility and engagement.
Qualifications
Experience in corporate sponsorships, fundraising, or business development.
