Our Museum Collection

The Naugatuck Historical Society is always looking to enrich its exhibits, collections, and archives. We look for items that pertain to Naugatuck’s history, geography, and local culture.

If we do not feel your item is within the scope of our collection, or we lack the ability to preserve and care for it, we will advise you on other organizations and resources as best we can.

Please fill this out if you are interested in making a donation. Our Collections Manager does his best to respond in a timely manner.

    • Naugatuck Football, Cheerleading, and Marching Band

      • Memorabilia such as jerseys, photos, programs, or trophies that celebrate these local organizations.

    • Music in Naugatuck

      • Instruments, sheet music, programs, and memorabilia from past performances in Naugatuck.

    • Yearbooks

      • Years needed - 1991, 1994, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2009-2023

    • Dog Trading Cards

      • We currently have 3 out of 36 from the Peter Paul Manufacturing Company collection - Scottish Terrier, Chihuahua, and Irish Wolfhound.

    • Town Clubs

      • Memorabilia from local clubs, including photographs, documents, or club-related items.

    • Old Newspapers

      • We welcome newspapers from any year to help document Naugatuck's history.

    • Historical Clothing or Textiles

      • Garments or textiles reflecting local industry and historical eras in Naugatuck.

    • Oral Histories or Interviews

      • Recorded stories or written accounts from long-time residents to preserve community memories.

    • Risdon Manufacturing and Uniroyal Rubber Company Memorabilia

      • Items such as products, documents, or memorabilia from these local industries.
