Thomas Jefferson, a ‘Renaissance Man”, applied his self-developed wide ranging expertise to the new Republic he helped to define. Among his interests was the development of a suitable National Architecture. His efforts contributed to the establishment of American Neo-Classicism, examples of which are found in Naugatuck.
