Board of Directors
I grew up in South Portland, Maine, and have called Naugatuck home for the past 27 years. After retiring from a career as an insurance adjuster, I began looking for ways to give back to the community that has given so much to my family. That’s when I became involved with the Naugatuck Historical Society—an organization that perfectly aligned with my lifelong interest in history and my desire to stay connected and involved.
For the past six years, I’ve proudly volunteered with the Historical Society, serving three of those years on the Board of Directors. I’m currently a member of the Board, the Facility Committee, and the Exhibit Committee. In addition to my work with the Historical Society, I’ve served on the Naugatuck Arts Commission, volunteered on an Eagle Scout project with my son to refurbish the local animal shelter, and spent four years helping out with the Band Parents Pit Crew.
I’m also the Vice President of the Naugatuck Community Choir and am hopeful that we’ll be able to restart in September. Music and the arts have always been important to me, and I believe they’re vital to building a strong and vibrant community.
Volunteering at the Historical Society has been a meaningful way for me to help preserve and share the stories of Naugatuck. I take pride in contributing to the care of our building, the planning of exhibits, and the overall mission to protect the town’s rich history. Through this work, I’ve found purpose, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the place I call home.
